One of the largest bird problems in Colorado is the damage done by the Northern Flicker, a member of the Woodpecker family, that also causes problems in other parts of the country. These birds can do a lot of damage to your structure in a very short period of time with their long and very hard beaks.

Northern Flicker Because these birds are protected under the Migratory Bird Species Act, we must be very careful about their health and safety, and to that end have put together a unique program to address this specific problem.

One of the keys to the success of our program is addressing the issue early on in the calendar year. Once you have noticed that the birds have migrated back to the area to breed, it may be too late to correct the problem until the Fall when they once again move on.

Our program addresses cleaning out and sealing the "homes" the Flickers have built in the side of your structure, incorporating the use of materials that deter the Flickers. They are no longer able to carry out their natural behaviors on your structure and then move on, never to return to your building.
